In-person Foundation Training Course

Our in-person Foundation Training Course runs for eight days in three modules with one to two weeks between each. There will be between 8 and 12 participants on each course with two trainers throughout, so there is ample opportunity to get to know each other well, as the participants take their first steps into their new careers.

Online Foundation Training Course

In designing our online Foundation Training Course, our priority has been to provide the best quality of teaching and learning for our participants. Therefore, we follow the following principles of online pedagogy.

(a) We have reduced the ratio of participant/trainer in order to provide more focused coaching and feedback, as well as personal attention. This means that we have 3 trainers for 9 participants and 4 trainers for 12.

(b) We are combining in our teaching methods the use of active learning activities and interactive exercises.

(c) We have spread the number of hours in front of a computer so that the participants don’t have more than 4 hours at a time of face-to- face course.

It has been demonstrated that screen attention severely diminishes after 4 hours of concentrated work. This approach has proved highly successful, with excellent feedback from the participants on our online course.
